Delhi Bomb Blast
A blast outside CRPF school in Rohini caused damage but no injuries. Police and forensic teams are investigating the cause of the explosion.
A loud explosion shook the area outside the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) school in Rohini, Delhi, early Sunday morning, sparking a large-scale investigation. While no injuries were reported, the blast caused significant damage, shattering the glass windows of nearby shops and a parked car. The Delhi Police quickly cordoned off the area, with fire brigade teams arriving shortly after to assist.
The incident took place around 7:45 am, with a PCR call alerting the police to the explosion. Responding officers, including the station house officer (SHO), discovered a damaged school wall and a strong foul odor lingering in the air. Although there was no immediate indication of casualties, the damage prompted swift action.
Authorities have called in forensic experts from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), along with a bomb disposal squad, to examine the scene. While the material responsible for the blast initially appeared to be a crude device, investigators are awaiting a complete report to confirm the exact cause.
The Special Cell of the Delhi Police’s terror unit was also dispatched to the site, but early investigations suggest no terror link. However, the final verdict will be determined after the FSL team completes its analysis. CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed, and even the sewer line is under inspection to ensure no further threats.
The fire department sent two trucks to the scene, and the National Security Guard (NSG) has been alerted for further assistance if necessary. Despite the chaos, the authorities’ swift response helped maintain control of the situation, and investigations are ongoing to unravel the mystery behind the explosion.
